More "Firsts"

Raya wore her first barette today as seen in the photo. Raya looks so much like me in this photo. It's freaky. I have a few pictures of me at 16 months (raya is now 15 months) that look so incredibly similar to this. Both of the girls have gone through phases where they looked just like I did and then they change a bit. Raya's mouth isn't the same but the shape of her face and her eyes and nose are exactly the same. Hallie right now looks nothing like me....and Raya could be my clone! Looks wise I mean, not personality!!!! In all seriousness, I think that Hallie is smart like Chris and Raya will be a little more social like me.

Here is a picture of Hallie and her FIRST school BackPack. She picked it herself. I tried to get her to choose between two that I didn't mind but she spotted this one at the bottom of the bin and there was no changing her mind. She loves blue and green. She will rarely pick something pink when given a choice...although her favorite color is "rosada" which is spanish for pink.

Yesterday was fun

She doesn't stay still!!!

Raya has this thing about sneaky downstairs when noone else is down here and getting into trouble. Yesterday we found her IN (how dangerous is that!) the bathtub. She was happily playing with the pumps on the shampoo and conditioner. Chris tried to take a picture of her smiling at us (she is quite proud of herself) but she doesn't stay in one spot for more than 2 seconds. We need a new ultra quick camara just for Raya!

It's been a month

since I blogged last and apparently it's causing some issues!!

Lots has been happening around here but I rarely think to blog unless I have pictures to go with it. This time I don't. We've been so busy and I am drawing blanks as to what to write about.

Hallie starts preschool in a couple of weeks and she is really looking forward to that. I'm going to take Raya to a mom and tots program once a week while Hallie is at school. I still need to go buy Hallie her first backpack!!! How exciting.

We spent the weekend at Chris's ball tournament and the kids got SOOOO dirty. It took a while for me to get used to them having dirt all over but I had too...it was unavoidable. Everyone laughed at me when I would go put hand sanitizer on them because they would just go straight for the dirt as soon as it was rubbed in...oh well. From Chris's perspective, "the dirtier they are, the more fun they are having"

We will be in Lethbridge this weekend coming up for a family BBQ which is always a good time. I'm looking forward to seeing my sister and Hallie can't wait to see her cousins.

I think we'll be going to the waterpark this afternoon and I'll try to get some pics of the growing girls :)
