Hallie started soccer this past week...it was great! The weather was brutally cold and windy but the entertainment was amusing. The kids all looked like the part. They got cute little shirts and socks. Hallie got new chin pads and a super cool waterbottle the night before. She will have soccer every Saturday for the next 8 weeks from 10-11 in the morning. This will consist of a 1/2 hour practice and then a 1/2 hour game against another team. The kids all just follow the ball in a big pack and have yet to grasp the concept of passing or scoring a goal. It must be confusing for them though since for the past 4 years, as parents, we are constantly telling them "make sure you share", "give everyone a turn", "don't kick balls at people", "don't take things from other people" and then all of a sudden their parents are yelling "GO GET THE BALL!!" "TAKE THE BALL", "KICK THE BALL AT THE GOALIE"
Here are her first ever soccer snapshots!

Too cute! Abuela should be proud...wearing a Tim Horton's jersey! At this age I wonder who the soccer is more for...Hallie or her parents!
OHHH my goodness... that is so cute!! So true with the whole sharing things, and not kicking balls at people, I have never even thought about that, so funny! Congrats on becomming a new soccer mommy!!!
Are you planning on inviting my wife to read your blog so she can see the pictures of Hallie too???
They are so fun to watch aren't they?! The boys just started soccer too and I LOVE the shin pad/sock combo.. has to be the best look ever for them.
And alas, it is super sad that the parents are so bonkers...
